The photographs in the photobook 'Snow and Rose & other Tales' by Marianna ROTHEN are staged like homages to the films of Antonioni, Bergman or Godard; they remind us of film stills and invite us to look for allusions.
'Snow and Rose & other Tales' is laid out like a film: slowly a story unfolds that tells of despair in a domestic setting, of freedom and independence.
