In her out-of-print photo volume 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Mother' German photo artist Katharina BOSSE openly deals with a blind spot of a society that otherwise does not shy away from interventions in the private sphere: the birth of a mother.

'Common Dreams' by Kai LÖFFELBEIN reflects China's change and the existing contrasts. It critically examines its social and economic transformation with a focus on the lives of migrant workers who have to live in the outskirts of the large metropolises.

The photo book 'Horaivka' by Anatoliy BABIYCHUK is the result of some visits to the small central Ukrainian village. His interest in traditional rituals and work in the fields becomes a prototypical sociogram of a forgotten stretch of land in Europe.
