Background information, content
The title of this catalog volume, 'Indstillinger', refers to both the camera setting and the photographer's personal attitude. It also illustrates the very personal approach of Danish photographer Krass CLEMENT. As he explained in his talk during the Kassel Photobook Festival over ten years ago, he copes with his own life experiences by making books. Therefore, in his books spot-like, photographs archived by him from long ago days appear again and again. However, his publications were underestimated for a long time also internationally, although his photo volume 'Drum' already belonged in the context of PARR/BADGER's 'The History of Photobooks, Vol.1' already canon of the best photo books. Krass CLEMENT, who has been photographing since the 1960s and actually always has his camera with him, has published about twenty photo books so far.Content
The exhibition catalog 'Indstillinger' contains works of photographer and filmmaker Krass CLEMENT until 2010. The viewer will discover that many works are now also part of several books: 'Roskilde', 'Faergen', 'Novemberrejse'. But there are also many unknown photographs - both in color and black and white.
