The out-of-print volume on Man RAY contains a selection of about 170 key works. It shows how the photographer has made use of various art media and techniques in an inventive and playful manner. The title is complemented by some readable scholarly essays.

Both the selection of 96 b/w images by August SANDER printed in this VEB publication as well as the texts by Alfred Döblin from 1929 and by Dr. Heinz Frotscher in 1982 illustrate how the work of the world famous photographer was received in the former GDR

The out-of-print photo volume 'Dorfleben in der Eifel. Photographed by Nora PFEFFERKORN contains everyday scenes, people, animals and landscapes from the area around Heisdorf. Until 1936 these were taken with a plate camera, then with a Rollei 6x6 camera.

B/w photographs from the 1920s to 1950s, some of which were published for the first time, create a small custom painting of a time when not only the region, which is still rural, has crossed the threshold of modernity, but also the photography itself.

Through its fascinating text and numerous photographs, this photo volume, 'Man Ray in Paris' vividly demonstrates why the photographer MAN RAY is still considered to be one of the most inventive and exciting artists of the twentieth century.
