Beat STREULI (b.1957 in Altdorf) is a Swiss photographer and video and installation artist. His central motif is the human being in the public space of a large city. Zooming in' is his compositional and photographic means. At the same time, it removes the photographed persons from their everyday and anonymous surroundings and, through the criterion of selection, enables an individual approach and pictorial effect. Beat STREULI lives in Zurich and Brussels.
