Background information
Albert RENGER-PATZSCH is one of the pioneers of modern photography. Even in his early work, he turned his objective gaze to the technology and industry of his time. In 1936, for example, he received the first order for recordings in the Jena glass factory SCHOTT & Gen. This collaboration continued in 1954 at the SCHOTT glass factory in Mainz, and from 1956 also at the SCHOTT branch in Grünenplan. 600 recordings were made in almost 30 years and are now in the SCHOTT archive.
