About German photographer, Gerhard KURTZ (b.1971)
Gerhard KURTZ studied photography at the FH Dortmund with Arno FISCHER. With his series 'Haus, Weg, Baum' (House, Path, Tree) in 2005, he finished 2nd in the Aenne Biermann Prize for Contemporary German Photography; the book was published in 2007. In 2010 he was the co-founder of the 'Projektraum Fotografie' in Dortmund. In 2014 he publisher of 'Das Gebiet' (Photographs by Joachim SCHUMACHER). Gerhard KURTZ lives in Dortmund and Frankfurt.
