About the photographer, Jochen LEMPERT (*1958 in Moers)

Jochen LEMPERT is a German animal and nature photographer and lives in Hamburg. He studied biology and later engaged in photography. Besides his photographic work he also published scientific papers. Winner of the Edwin-Scharff-Prize 2005. 2009 scholarship holder at the Villa Massimo in Rome. 2010 exhibitions about his life's work. In 2017 he was awarded the Camera Austria Prize for contemporary photography.
