Ute BEHREND is an artist, publisher, lecturer and visual editor. After an apprenticeship as a carpenter, she studied communication design at the FH Wiesbaden from 1985-1987, then photo design at the FH Dortmund and at the Hochschule für Grafik-und Buchkunst (HGB) Leipzig (1990). 1993 Diploma with André GELPKE. Ute BEHREND lives and works in Cologne.
