About the American photographer, Peter FINK (1907-1984)

Peter FINK traveled the world from the 1950s through the 1970s, photographing remote locations and postwar industrial cities in Japan, France, Portugal, North Africa, and the Middle East. Art and culture are recurring themes, as are the lives of workers, families, or children in each place he visited. In addition, he produced expressive portraits and fashion photographs, surreal still lifes or his radical Refractions - reflections on architecture. During his lifetime, Peter FINK was represented in 50 institutional solo exhibitions worldwide. His works can be found in renowned museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and the Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt am Main.
