About the photographer, Martin PARR (b.1952)

Martin PARR studied photography in Manchester from 1970 - 1973. He provokes by photographing everyday clichés. In doing so, he captures derailments of taste and shows the ugliness that is usually avoided or retouched as a motif and documents above all British everyday culture. He was president of Magnum Photos from 2013 to 2017.
