From September 15-18, 2022, the UNSEEN Photography Fair in Amserdam, Netherlands, hosted a book market with around sixty independent photo book publishers offering a wide range of new releases. Some photo book titles were selected for the WebStore to be viewed and purchased, some titles autographed.


In 'Some Say Ice', Alessandra SANGUINETTI alludes to the possibility of undoing death through the act of photography, making visible undercurrents of doubt. The book title was inspired by a poem by Robert Frost that deals with the inevitability of death.

'A Picturial History of the Empty Chair' by Erik KESSELS & Karel de Mulder deals with the subject of absence. Looking at an empty chair makes us wonder who could sit or who might be sitting there. Not knowing or seeing can make a photograph more exciting.
