Content
With a total of 45 photographic positions, this catalog volume, 'Facing Britain. British Documentary Photography since the 1960s', contains the most comprehensive show of work on British documentary photography to date, bringing together positions such as David HURN, Tom WOOD, Martin PARR, Tony RAY-JONES, Markéta LUSKAKOVÁ, Anna FOX, John MYERS and Peter MITCHELL. British documentary photography is famous for its strong social and political themes such as unemployment, migration, racism, consumer society, gender justice, decline of the coal industry, two-class society and warlike conflicts (Falkland Islands, Northern Ireland). For the first time, the catalog also features work from 'Black Britain'." (© Koenig, 2021)
