Photo artist Jaakko KAHILANIEMI owns 100 ha of forest. With his conceptual project '100 Hectares of Understanding' he tries to better understand his forest area and to show new ways of thinking and methods of how one can experience and feel the forest.

'Gallery of Honours of Dutch Photography' contains nearly one hundred photographs, each remarkable for its artistic, aesthetic and social qualities. Together, the images tell the story of 180 years of photography in the Netherlands and its colonies.

This anthology contains 160 pictures by ninety female photographers to answer the question of whether there is a 'female gaze' in photography. The focus is on the four major subject areas of social reality, family, female body and virtual reality.

Alessandra SANGUINETTI documents the lives of cousins Guille & Belinda, living in rural Argentina, as they journey through childhood and adolescence to become women. 'The Enigmatic Meaning of Their Dreams' traces the first 5 years of their collaboration.

Photo book 'Double Orbit' by Grégoire PUJADE-LAURAINE shows the everyday urban environment. However, his photographs read in their composition like a set of tarot cards, they become open-ended allegories, whose meaning is only revealed in the combination.

The photo book 'Street Portraits' by Dawoud BEY contains portraits taken with a large format camera and a unique positive/negative Polaroid film. The photos depict the self-expression & performance of a cross-section of the population in an urban setting.

'Stable Vices' by Joanna PIOTROWSKA is an ambitious photo volume that focuses on the concepts of protection, freedom and oppression, crystallizing a spectrum that runs like a thread through the Polish photographer's work and keeps driving her.

In 'Sakura', Yoshinori MIZUTANI attempts to visualize the movement of his observing eyes as well as distill the visual experience of meditating & wandering over the blossom tree. He shows that photography is also capable of capturing the passage of time.

'Devil's Promenade' by DOLEZAL & SHIPLEY is about returning to their home region in the Midwest of the USA, a journey into the dense forests where anything can happen: either bathing in the light of salvation or facing the devil in the deepest darkness.
