In 'Sea Stories', the photos by Robert ADAMS describe the cycles of nature with a new naturalism. It contents a sequence of three visual narratives: among alder and maple trees, along the beachand back through meadows and what remains of the inland forest

'Ephemere' by Paul CUPIDO emphasizes the volatility of existence in the process of creation, metamorphosis and disappearance. It's about the fragility of life, the interconnectedness of human / non-human and the silence on which every expression is based.

'Cloud Physics' by Terri WEIFENBACH explores the photographic ability to capture the transience of natural phenomena. Tiny variations of light and humidity, golden clouds, plant life rustling with moisture, animal presence in the depths of the forest.

Photography exists because of the light, but the landscapes in VAN DER MOLENS photographs stand out from the darkness. Her monochrome photographic works arise out of the desire to penetrate deep into the core of the isolated world in which she photographs

This edition contains b/w photos taken between 1973 and 1991, a six-page interview with as well as a two-page biography. It was published in the 'Photographers at Work' series by the American Smithsonian Institute - like EGGLESTON's 'Horses and Dogs'.
