'The Dutch Photobook' deals with the recent history of the Dutch photobook. Selected titles were placed in the context of developments in photography & society on the basis of the themes of landscape, youth, travel, urbanity, and the autonomous photobook.

The author Stanley Wolukau-Wanambwa argues that the photobook is one of the most dynamic sites of artistic invention in photographic practice in the last decade. Therefore, in this volume, 'Dark Mirrors', he evaluates artistic works created in this form.

The photo volume 'Polaroid 54/59/79' by Dana LIXENBERG is a remarkable collection. It reflects American celebrity culture with encounters from the 1990s and 2000s. The title refers to the types of peelable instant film she used between 1993 and 2010.
