About the French director & screenwriter, Sébastien LIFSHITZ (b. 1968, in Paris)

Sébastien LIFSHITZ studied art history at the École du Louvre as well as at the Sorbonne from 1987 to 1993, worked as an assistant at the Centre Georges Pompidou, and then embarked on a career as a director. He won a César in the Best Documentary category in 2013 for his documentary 'Les invisibles' (2012), which portrays the lives of elderly homosexual men and women. Another César for Best Documentary followed in 2021 for his long-term documentary 'Youth'.
