About the German photographer, Karl-Ludwig LANGE (*1949 in Minden).

Karl-Ludwig LUDWIG settled in Berlin in 1967. A traineeship at the dpa as well as the assistance with Will McBRIDE are followed in 1973 by the first own works in conceptually designed cycles, without exception in black and white. In the 1980s follow larger series, such as Gasometer Schöneberg (1981), Neo-Gothic in Berlin (1982 - 84), Berlin-Wedding (1983 - 84), reconstruction Martin-Gropius-Bau (1981 - 86), Märkische Ziegeleien and Ziegel (from 1990). The main focus of his photographic work is urban history and industrial archeology. He uses the means of photography to explore the interrelationship between the city of Berlin and the surrounding countryside. He is a member of the German Society for Photography (DGPh). Karl-Ludwig LANGE currently lives in Berlin.
