Background information
'Twentysix Ceramic Fountains' by Franck LANDRON is a small, self-published book of photographs in the vein of the cult book 'Twentysix Gasoline Stations' by American (photo) artist Ed RUSCHA. In addition, the title refers to a 1917 ready-made generally attributed to Marcel Duchamp.
Most recently, the photo volume 'Trentetrois Pichets' by Rui CAMILO, which is also available as a signed volume from Cafe Lehmitz Photobooks, was published in the same layout, but in color. Thus, both volumes join a new group of photo volumes that all refer to one book; a separate compendium has already been dedicated to them.
Content
In 'Twentysix Ceramic Fountains' by Franck LANDRON 26 b/w photographs of urinals from all over the world (especially from France, but also from the USA, India, Italy, Portugal, Japan, Canada, Russia as well as Germany) are illustrated; there is no text. The photos are oriented to the upper edge and are mostly arranged on the right side of the double page. Numbering and signature are at the back.
