The photographs by Nina KORHONEN have been exhibited since 1990 and have received several awards. For her book 'Anna Amerikan Mummu' she received the Swedish Photo Book Award in 2004. In total, she has published almost ten volumes of photographs to date.

The black-and-white images in the photographic volume, 'Happy. Brooklyn 1988-1993', are from the first photography project by Finnish photographer Nina KORHONEN is about the story of 'Finntown', a part of Brooklyn inhabited by Finnish immigrants.
