About the German photographer, Fred JAEGER (1918-1999)

Fred JAEGER started his career as a photo reporter in the Second World War on the western front in Holland. In 1949 he returned to his hometown and from then on earned his living as a freelance photographer. His pictures appeared in major magazines such as 'Hör zu' and 'Neue Illustrierte' as well as in the local press. From the mid-1970s he worked as a cameraman at WDR.
