"Japanese photographer, Takashi HOMMA, became acquainted with the work of Le Corbusier only in 2013 during a visit to Chandigarh. He then decided to photograph the variety of windows in Le Corbusier's work around the world. His work is part of a research project on the history of the window." (© Koenig books, 2019)

The photographs in the photo volume 'Looking Through: Le Corbusier Windows'by Takashi HOMMA illustrate their role as spaces, rather than surfaces, that connect the interior of a building and the surrounding landscape, or the private and the public.

An essay - English, French & Japanese language - by Tim Benton complements Takashi HOMMA's photographs by tracing the evolution of the concept of windows in Le Corbusier’s work. The graphic design is by Sean YENDRYS.
