Background information
This vinyl record, 'Die Rache der Erinnerung' (The revenge of Memory) was recorded in Hamburg, London and Pforzheim in 1984. The German painters, Markus & Albert Oehlen, Jörg Immendorff, Werner Büttner, Martin Kippenberger as well as A.R. Penck - all representatives of the 'Neue Wilde' from Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Dresden recorded and sang a total of twelve pieces that can be roughly classified as blues, blues rock and avant-garde music. The record also comes with a poster in black and white, showing the six painters involved in the record in a sauna.
