Background information
The out-of-print photo volume from the 'Aperture Masters of Photography' book series shows around forty black-and-white photographs that are exemplary of August SANDER's portrait work, in which he documented full-body portraits of Cologne citizens as well as people of all social status and various professions from the Westerwald, the Eifel, Hamburg and Berlin between 1921 and 1930 - i.e. around the time of the Weimar Republic.Additional information
This out-of-print 'Aperture of Masters of Photography-Publication about August SANDER was published as an English-language original and as a trilingual (German-French-English text) edition by Könemann.
