This review of his photographic work, compiled by Henri CARTIER-BRESSON himself, was first published in France in 1979 and published in German in 1992. It remained the last monograph of his own conception.
With 155 pictures of Henri CARTIER-BRESSON's choice, this volume, 'The Photographs', brings together the highlights of half a century of passionate photography, a life in the service of photojournalism and photographic art - the very combination for which Henri CARTIER-BRESSON has set new and rarely reached standards since the 1930s.
This voluminous volume (28.5 x 29.5 x 4.5 cm.) Shows the main works of the French photographer and co-founder of the Magnum Photographers Agency from 1929 to 1979. It also contains a text by Yves Bonnefoy, is well printed and provided with a dust jacket. It was also published in English, but it is currently out of print.
