In his debut photo volume 'Haven', Dutch photographer Sem LANGENDIJK brings together the lifeworlds of various port cities in a documentary fiction, highlighting the transformation of disused port areas and the communities living there.

In her book 'Dear Japanese', Miyuki OKUYAMA documents from a personal perspective, recording compatriots abroad. It consists of portraits, places and landscapes containing associative Japanese elements which often feel displaced within the environment.

The 'The Arsenic Eaters' by Simon BRUGNER explores the historical belief that eating arsenic was healthy. It consists of contemporary photographs as well as archival material and traces the poison eaters to make a connection between history and present.

In her third photo book, XU documents the lives of people at the foot of the Great Wall of China. The wall is not a single, continuous structure, but a collection of fastenings that are also undergoing a visual transformation due to the change in China.

On the shortlist for Arles Author Book Award 2021. With the photo volume 'Family Stranger', Dutch photographer Wiosna van BON shows the different ways families whose relative had to go to prison for a committed crime deal with the situation.
