Background information
"After the unbelievable success with Gerry JOHANSSON's photo book 'Tokyo', for 'America Revisited' 83 motifs were from pictures the Swedish photographer has made over and over again on his travels to the USA over the last 40 years. The photo book simulates an exhibition tour.
Content
Gerry JOHANSSON purists may initially be irritated by the large-format volume 'America Revisited', especially since for the first time a small selection of colored pictures is included in the book. However, the format of the pictures largely corresponds to the format of his prints." (slightly adapted and freely translated text, © Roland Angst, 2018)
