"For 'Muchísmo' fumbled the Spanish photographer Cristina DE MIDDEL in her studio archives and now brings all of your pictures to light when it should have saved from a dazzling, colossal chaos to present this in a the same named exhibition, held in Madrid in June at Fernan Gomez.
It is sui generis an exhibition of all her works, where there is neither an apparent order nor a curator and thus provides the art market and its rules in question.
At the same time the artist shows in another exhibition in Madrid, in La Fábrica, their 'antipodes series', consisting of in New Zealand captured images. Here De Middel is using mirrors and own back-references attempt to recover the profundity of landscape photography.
Both works are included in this publication; a book that has become an object of desire before it was published -. as all works of the most turbulent photographers of the current scene." (free translation of publisher's note, © La Fabrica, 2016)
