Christer STRÖMHOLM had a lasting influence on Swedish photography, represented by Anders PETERSEN and JH ENGSTRÖM, among others, and in the 1950s and 60s he documented the Parisian nightlife around 'Pigalle', which was dominated by a transsexual scene.
