In 'Fotografiegeschichte der Abstraktion' (Photographic history of abstraction), Kathrin Schönegg traces the history of photography: from the experimental beginnings in the 1830s, through (pseudo)scientific, applied & artistic contexts, to digitalization.

This monograph comprehensively documents Toni SCHNEIDERS 'artistic life's work. On display are the well-known works from the 'fotoform' era, the travel photographs taken since the late 1950s, as well as nature, technology and portrait photographs.

This photo book contains the famous photo series, which is one of the classics of German industrial photography. As one of the most important representatives of 'fotoform' group KEETMAN created, due to their detailed composition, almost abstract pictures.

Toni SCHNEIDERS made a decisive contribution to the renewal of the visual language of the avant-garde photography after 1945. In this 100th birthday celebrating catalog, we rediscover him as a portraitist, as a travel, industrial & landscape photographer.
