About the Austrian-American photographer Lillian BIRNBAUM (*1955 in New York)
Lillian BIRNBAUM is a film director and producer as well as a photographer. She was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York, but grew up in Vienna. Her career began in the 1970s, from 1982 to 1998 as a photographer for magazines in Europe and the U.S., in Germany for the FAZ magazine, Stern, and the women's magazine Marie Claire. Above all, she published her portraits in several photo volumes. Her work has been shown internationally in numerous exhibitions. Today, Lillian BIRNBAUM lives mainly in Paris.
