"Sibylle BERGEMANN is one of the most famous German photographers. Over more than four decades, the Berlin-based photographer passionately created an extraordinary oeuvre of fashion and portrait shots, literary reportages and athmospheric picture series. The focus was always on people. In the GDR, she worked freelance as well as continuously on assignment for various art and culture magazines. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, she co-founded 'OSTKREUZ - Agentur der Fotografen' and photographed for GEO, Die Zeit, Stern and the New York Times Magazine.
