About the Italian photographer Ernesto BAZAN (b.1959, in Palermo)
Ernesto BAZAN went to New York in 1979 to study photography at the School of Visual Arts. In 1982 he joined the photo agency Magnum Photos, which he left two years later. From 1992 to 2006 he lived mostly in Cuba, documenting an important period in Cuban history: 'El Periodo Especial'. His photographs have been exhibited in Europe, Latin America and the United States.
