Background information / content
Pale Blue' - is a tribute to an emblematic photograph and iconic character, the astronomer Carl Sagan. That photo shows the planet Earth, taken on February 14, 1990 by the Voyager 1 spacecraft at a record distance of about 6 billion kilometers, and is part of the family portrait (a series of photos of the solar system taken that day). This photograph was titled 'A Pale Blue Dot', after the title of a book inspired by this photo, written by Carl Sagan in 1994, because the Earth is represented as a tiny blue dot. This photo volume 'Pale Blue' by ALBARRÁN CABRERA is a symbolic journey to the origins of the planet Earth. The different layers of this earth help humanity to better understand its own origins and evolution, and this 'memory' seems to mean that their destinies are inextricably linked, but that it is the responsibility of humanity to 'preserve and care for this pale blue dot, the only home it has ever known'.
