The volume 'Seydou Keita. African photographer' contains over 200 portraits, capturing the personalities of his subjects. He utilized a wide variety of props to further this goal. What comes across most clearly in these photos is the beauty of the people.

For his photobook compendium 'Canon. On African Photobooks', Johannes Wohnseifer selected titles from his private collection that focus on the African continent. These photobooks, published between 1948 and 2011, are presented here in chronological order.
