Photobooks for Paris 2022

New publication of the 1982 black and white photos by Roger MELIS, first published in 1986 as a photo book. 'Paris zu Fuss' (Paris on Foot) was the first book by an East German photographer who told life in a strange city through photography alone.

SIGNED COPY! The out-of-print photo book 'Lebensmittel' (Food) by Michael SCHMIDT documents the industrialization in food production. The volume consisting of B/W & color photographs was the last publication on which he still worked until its completion.

'Good Hope' by Carla LIESCHING, combines essays and found photographs with sources ranging from apartheid-era trade journals, tourist pamphlets, magazines to current newspapers and family albums. A critical examination of contemporary settler colonialism.

In his debut book 'We Were Born Before the Wind' Henri PRESTES deals with loneliness as well as melancholy. The pictures were created in the cold months in Portugal, when he often roamed in the dark through small villages, mountains and lonely fields.

Self-published photo volume 'Handmade' by the Finnish photographer Nina KORHONEN contains over eighty color photographs documenting everyday life in Kochi Prefecture. The text by Yukiko Duke is reproduced in the book in three languages.
