Background information
"The photographic volume 'Instant Stories. 403 Polaroids with 36 Stories' (ONLY AVAILABLE AS GERMAN EDITION!) by Wim WENDERS is a photographic road movie through the early years of the artist, who quickly achieved world fame with films such as 'The Scarlet Letter', 'Alice in the Cities', 'Falsche Bewegung', 'Im Lauf der Zeit' and 'Der amerikanische Freund'. It was published in 2017 to accompany the 'Instant' exhibition. His photographic 'notes', as he calls them himself, are not arranged thematically in this artist's book for the exhibition, but rather by stories: the photographer and filmmaker interweaves them with his own narratives, short stories, 'haikus', similar to the previously published volume 'Einmal/Once'.
