About the German photographer, Michael DANNER (b. 1967, in Reutlingen)

Michael DANNEr studied photography at University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld and at University of Brighton. His artistic works adopt a political and anthropological approach, in which he investigates contested sites and histories. The work takes the form of photographs and moving image, which often include archive material and text and are intertwined into multilayered systems. He has published two photo books. Since 2016 he is professor for photography at University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. Michael DANNER lives and works in Berlin.
