"The book draws together my photography from the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China and collaborative images made by people in Xinjiang. The title is inspired by an allegorical story called 'Wild Pigeon', written by Nurmuhemmet Yasin, and excerpts from his writing are interspersed throughout the book.

As with my first book, 'Two Rivers', 'Wild Pigeon' was designed by Sybren Kuiper, printed in Holland, and self published. (...) The first copies will be available at Paris Photo next week. If youd like to avoid shipping fees and pick up one there, please look for them either at the Cafe Lehmitz table in the Polycopies photobook market .. " (Carolyn DRAKE)
